For this post I decided to focus on what many people have been jumping to do since this pandemic started: travel. Still, as cases begin to fall in some states and rise in others, people need to consider the risks that come with traveling between states.
Because of this influx of travel between states, some have put 14 day quarantine bans on travelers coming in. It’s important to research the rules and restrictions of the places your interested in before picking a destination.
On these next couple of days, I’ll be posting about our trip to Ithaca, NY and the Finger Lakes. Currently, New York State does not have the 14 day quarantine rule for travelers, making it a perfect place for a week’s getaway. The Finger Lakes is about 3 hours away so it was an easy drive.
Another thing to consider when picking a place to travel is the activities they have available. Since there are a lot of outdoor activities to do around the Finger Lakes, there are more options. Also, some things may be closed because of the pandemic so make sure to research whether a specific place is open before going!
Just remember, if you do go out, to always bring a mask since many places, even outdoors, require them!
